  • I’ve imported a 3d model of a phone to blender and set up the lighting, painted stars in photoshop and added cracked glass texture. Converted an image of sweden to vector and added leaf texture in photoshop.

House of Leaves by Mark P. Danielewski

  • A psychologcal horror, known for it’s complexity and unique typesetting. It’s about a house with and endless, evermoving labyrinth and the people who come in contact with it - in one way of another

  • the abstract image depicts an open door and a labyrinth. The simplicity and empty space is meant to communicate the vastness of nothingness. The broken text on the cover gives the readers a hint of taste of the books unique layout, as well as giving insight to the main characters psyche. Using black and white related to the theme of existential horror and the poetic feel of the book

  • Vector illustration in illustrator, design in photoshop

Qualityland by Mark Uwe-Kling

  • Qualityland is a dystopian satirical scifi novel that offers sharp critque of our increaslingly automated and algorithm-based society.

  • ’ve used a robust, technological and harsh font for the title, commonly associated with other dystopian imagery, and slanted the Y to communicate that’s Qualityland isnt that full of quality after all. The bar codes are overwealming and repeating in an endless pattern, representing automation and overconsumptoon. The touch of gold is ironic.

  • I created the text and barcode designs in illustrator, then added golden texture in photoshoo

Journey to the center of the earth by Jules Verne

  • This classic adventure novel follows

  • Amber and ferns are both commonly associated with prehistoric times

  • Digtal painting in photshop combined with compositing of photos of amber and rock walls as well as watercolor textures

The Wall by Marlen Haushofer

  • A haunting and introspective novel that explores the solitary journey of an unnamed woman who finds herself cut off from the rest of humanity by an invisible wall.

  • For this cover I wanted to convey a sense of stlllness that makes you uneasy, without being dark. There are many animals in this story but I’ve picked the cow since it’s a less familiar than cats and dogs, which adds to the strangeness and absurdity of it all. By aligning the text and the cow towards the wall, it’s feeling of separation from the other side becomes stronger.

  • The painting was made with AI, I added more realisitc grass in photoshop using compositing techniques and adjusted the colors towards more cool tones and dreamlike atmosphere

The shark callers by Eric Campbell

  • Aimed at teenagers age 12-15, this book tells two parallell stories of two different boys at Papa New Guinea. One follows a western boy on vacation with his family, the other follows a native boy who has to catch and kill a shark to prove his manhood. Their lives take a dramatic and dangerous turn when a volcano erupts.

  • I wanted to create visual style that feels aimed towards teenagers. Using an illustration with realistic proportions and a degree of stylization I think I landed in the right direction. I wanted to come up with a pose that could represent both characters without it being clear who, further strenghtening the parallell stories and challanges.
